Architectural Art-Landmark historic structures.

One of the benefits of living and painting in North Georgia is the large number of historic late 19th century buildings. Many of the small towns located in the northern part of the state retain the look of the past, making them tourist destinations.

I found a vibrant arts community in the region, and a wealth of subject matter to paint in the rolling hills leading to the Appalachian, Smokey, and Blue Ridge mountain ranges to the north.

Such a diverse architecture and landscapes continues to fuel the artistic interest in this area, and the increasing pace of modernization likely means the paintings will remain after many of the structures (and the artist) are gone.
